FIX: Scheduled data refresh disabled after you make some modifications to the PowerPivot workbook in SharePoint 2013 that interacts with SSAS 2012

Symptoms

Consider the following scenario:
  • You have a computer that has Microsoft SQL Server 2012 PowerPivot for Microsoft SharePoint 2013 installed.
  • You upload a PowerPivot workbook to a PowerPivot gallery.
  • You schedule data refresh for the PowerPivot workbook.
  • You make some modifications to the PowerPivot workbook, and then you save the changes.
In this scenario, the scheduled data refresh is disabled unexpectedly.

Resolution

The issue was first fixed in the following cumulative update of SQL Server.

Cumulative Update 6 for SQL Server 2012 SP1
