Gäller för: Windows Server 2012 DatacenterWindows Server 2012 DatacenterWindows Server 2012 Essentials

Symptoms

Assume that you have a computer that is running Windows Server 2012, or a Windows 8-based computer that has the Remote Server Administration Tools for Windows 8 installed. When you use a screen reader program to read screen items in Server Manager, you may experience the following issues on the computer.

Issue 1

When you try to add or remove roles or features by using Server Manager, the screen reader program does not read the status of the role selection check box or the feature selection check box.

Issue 2

When you try to add or remove roles or features by using Server Manager, the screen reader program does not read the content of a dependent role dialog box or a dependent feature dialog box.

Issue 3

When you try to add or remove roles or features by using Server Manager, the screen reader program does not read the installation status of the role or the feature.

Issue 4

Assume that you try to add or remove roles or features by using Server Manager. When a role or feature is selected, the focus is not set to the selected role or feature. Therefore, the screen reader program cannot read the content of the selected role or feature.

Issue 5

Assume that you try to add or remove roles or features by using Server Manager. If a dependent role dialog box or a dependent feature dialog box appears, the focus is not set to the dialog box. Therefore, the screen reader program cannot read the content of the dialog box.

Cause

The issues occur because certain information in the Add Roles and Features wizard and the Remove Roles and Features wizard is inaccessible. Therefore, the related items are not reflected correctly in the screen reader program.
