Summary

This article describes the issues that are fixed in the Microsoft SharePoint Server 2013 hotfix package that is dated June 10, 2014.

Introduction

Issues that this hotfix package fixes

  • Assume that you use the following command to set the Peoplepicker-onlysearchwithinsitecollection and the peoplepicker-peopleeditoronlyresolvewithinsitecollection setting in a SharePoint Server 2013 site.

stsadm -o setproperty –url http://webapp –pn peoplepicker-onlysearchwithinsitecollection –pv yes
stsadm -o setproperty –url http://webapp –pn peoplepicker-peopleeditoronlyresolvewithinsitecollection –pv yes

When you assign a task to a user whom does not have permission to the site, the People Picker does not honor these settings. Therefore, if you enter the user name in the People Picker text box, and then you submit the form, the user is resolved and the task is assigned to the user.

  • Assume that you use the Managed Metadata as key filters for a SharePoint list, and then you group the list items by using the Managed Metadata column. In this situation, when you expand a grouped item, all items in the list are displayed in the view.

  • The layout in the List View Web Part collapses when the view is set as <Summary view> instead of <Current view>. Additionally, when you edit the List View Web Part, the page layout also collapses.

  • The special characters (for example, '&' ampersand) in the title of a SharePoint list are double escaped when the SharePoint list uses a style other than Default.

  • You cannot create a subsite based on a custom template that contains a custom field created by using code if the current site contains a custom field that has the same name. Additionally, you receive an error message that resembles the following:

    Duplicate field name was found.

  • If a List View Web Part is preceded by another Web Part, the New Item button of the List View Web Part works incorrectly when you browse the site by using Internet Explorer 8.

  • The ItemDeleting event receiver works incorrectly.
