This article describes an update that includes the August 2013 cumulative time zone update for Windows Embedded Compact 7. This update changes the time zone data to accommodate daylight saving time (DST) changes in several countries.

More Information

This update includes the following changes:

  • Libya Standard Time:
    DST starts on the last Friday of March at 02:00 and ends on the last Friday of October at 02:00. These new DST rules were introduced from 2013, and a new dedicated time zone was also added (UTC+1 Tripoli) (KB 2795255).

  • Israel Standard Time:
    DST starts on the Friday before the last Sunday of March and ends on the last Sunday of October at 02:00. This new DST rule is applicable from 2013 to 2023.

  • Pacific S.A. Standard Time:
    DST ends on April 27, 2013 and starts on September 7, 2013. This change is for 2013 only (KB 2826777).

  • Paraguay Standard Time:
    DST ends on March 23, 2013. This change incorporates the shortened DST rules for Paraguay in 2013 (KB 2828891).

  • Morocco Standard Time:
    The change in the August DST cumulative update will account only for History Correction after the DST 2013 Ramadan fix-it solution that is shipped in June 2013 (KB 2739150).

Restart requirement

After you apply this update, you must perform a clean build of the whole platform. To do this, use one of the following methods:

  • On the Build menu, click Clean Solution, and then click Build Solution.

  • On the Build menu, click Rebuild Solution.

You do not have to restart the computer after you apply this software update.

Update replacement information

This update does not replace any other updates.

The English version of this software update package has the file attributes (or later file attributes) that are listed in the following table. The dates and times for these files are listed in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). When you view the file information, it is converted to local time. To find the difference between UTC and local time, use the Time Zone tab in the Date and Time item in Control Panel.
