"0x0000000A" Stop error when Miniport driver supports telemetry data in Windows 8 or Windows Server 2012

Symptoms


Assume that a Windows 8 or Windows Server 2012-based computer uses a Miniport driver (for example, the computer uses a StorAHCI driver) that supports telemetry data. In this situation, the computer crashes together with the following Stop error code:
STOP: 0x0000000A (parameter1, parameter2, parameter3, parameter4)

Notes
  • This Stop error describes an IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL issue.
  • The parameters in this Stop error message vary, depending on the configuration of the computer.
  • Not all "Stop 0x0000000A" errors are caused by this issue.

Cause


This issue occurs because of a problem that involves hibernation.
