Consider the following scenario:
- You sign in to a Microsoft Lync 2010 client on a computer that is connected to an Aries telephone.
- The telephone is running Lync Phone Edition, and is paired with the Lync 2010 client.
- A USB headset is connected to the computer, and you set device preference to the USB headset.
- You accept an incoming Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) call in the client as a delegate, and then you try to answer the call by using the USB headset.
This issue occurs because the Lync 2010 client incorrectly treats the telephone as a preferred device.
