Bing IME has been made more accurate through the Engkoo IME technology, and it has an even better English mode (phonetic search and mixed-input). Bing IME is now a cutting-edge platform that enables new diverse and flexible scenarios as an entry point for its users' online service. Bing IME provides search integration and lots of functionality through multiple candidate applications.

How to install Bing IME from Windows Update

To install Bing IME in Windows XP, follow these steps:
  1. Click Start, click All Programs, and then click Windows Update.
  2. Wait for Windows Update to search for updates.
  3. Click Custom.
  4. Click Software, Optional on the left-side panel.
  5. Select Bing IME on the right-side panel, and then click Review and install updates.
  6. Click Install Updates.
  7. After the update is installed, restart Windows Internet Explorer.

To install Bing IME in Windows Vista and Windows 7, follow these steps:
  1. Click Start, click All Programs, and then click Windows Update.
  2. Click Check online for updates from Microsoft Update.
  3. Click the number optional updates are available link.
    Note The "number" placeholder represents the number of optional updates that are available to download.
  4. Under the Bing category, select Bing IME.
  5. Click OK, and then click Install updates to start the download and install process.
To install Bing IME in Windows 8, follow these steps:
  1. Swipe in from the right edge of the screen, and then tap Search.
    Note If you are using a mouse, point to the lower-right corner of the screen, and then click Search.
  2. Type Windows Update in the search box, tap or click Settings, and then tap or click Install optional updates.
  3. Click Check online for updates from Microsoft Update.
  4. Click the number optional updates are available link.

  5. Under the Bing category, select Bing IME.
  6. Click OK, and then click Install updates to start the download and install process.

How to uninstall Bing IME

To uninstall Bing IME in Windows XP, follow these steps:
  1. Click Start, click Control Panel, and then double-click Add or Remove Programs.
  2. In the Currently installed programs list, click Bing IME, and then click Remove.

To uninstall Bing IME in Windows Vista and Windows 7, follow these steps:
  1. Click Start, and then click Control Panel.
  2. Under Programs, click Uninstall a program.
  3. In the Uninstall or change a program list, click Bing IME, and then click Uninstall.
  4. Follow the instructions.

To uninstall Bing IME in Windows 8, follow these steps:
  1. Swipe in from the right side of the screen, and then tap Search.
