Consider the following scenario:
- You install the Data Deduplication file service on a Windows Server 2012-based computer.
- You enable data deduplication on a large data volume that has a high data deduplication savings rate.
- You create an optimization job, and then you start the job.
Error: Hotspot table is too small to hold all hotspots., 0x8056530c, Data deduplication encountered an unexpected error. Check the Data Deduplication Operational event log for more information.
This issue occurs because a hotspot table is not sized correctly on the large data volume.
