Applies to: SharePoint Foundation 2013

Issues that this hotfix package fixes

  • When you browse to a SharePoint 2013 page that contains an UpdatePanel control, the page may be refreshed randomly. Therefore, if you type something in a text field on the page, the text field may become empty.
  • Consider the following scenario:
    • You create two SharePoint 2013 document libraries in a SharePoint site.
    • You create a Person or Group column in both document libraries, and the two custom people/group columns have the same name.
    • You allow multiple selections and selection of Person and Groups for this custom column.
    • You upload a document to the first document library and select a SharePoint group for the custom column.
    • You select the document and send it to the second document library by clicking Send to button in the ribbon.
In this scenario, the SharePoint group name for the custom column in the second document library is missing.

  • Consider the following scenario:
    • You create a new content type in a SharePoint 2013 site.
    • You browse to the site in an alternative language, and give the content type another name in the language.
    • You add the content type to a SharePoint library or a SharePoint list.
In this scenario, the content type name of the default language is displayed instead of the alternative language.

  • This hotfix improves managerial effectiveness in SharePoint 2013 by letting the administrators manage the language settings by using the Client Object Model.
  • Consider the following scenario:
    • You install and configure Remote BLOB Storage (RBS) for a Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 Express database server that supports a Microsoft SharePoint 2013 farm.
    • You enable RBS for a content database that contains a SharePoint site collection.
    • You publish a declarative workflow to a SharePoint library of the site collection.
    • You start the workflow, for example by uploading a document to the SharePoint library.
    • The volume that is used to store the remote blobs becomes inaccessible.
    • You recycle the application pool for the web application that holds the SharePoint site collection.
    • You browse to the Workflow Settings page of the SharePoint library.
In this scenario, the workflow is deleted. Additionally, the tasks associated with the workflow may also be deleted.

  • Assume that you add an XsltListView Web Part to a SharePoint 2013 page, and the Web Part contains a link to another SharePoint 2013 site. When you click the link, you are redirected to an error page.
  • Assume that you create a subsite in a SharePoint 2013 site collection, then you open the Site Settings page of this subsite. When you try to open the Site columns page, it may take long time than expected.
  • Assume that you add an item that contains a choice field to a SharePoint library or list, and the field contains an ampersand (&) character, and then you save it. When you select the item and then click the View Item button or the View Properties button, the ampersand (&) character in the choice field does not appear correctly.
  • Assume that you send an email message that contains many attachments from an iPhone to a SharePoint 2013 document library. In this situation, the email message that is sent to the document library may contain an empty attachment that has no file name. Additionally, the other attachments may be missing.
  • You cannot decline a user request by clicking the Decline button in a SharePoint 2013 community site, additionally, you may receive the following error message:
    Failed to decline request.
  • Assume that you create a Lookup column in a custom list, and the lookup column gets information from a Date and Time type column. Then you create a standard view and set the lookup column in the Group By section. When you display the view in the custom list, the date is displayed in an incorrect format (MM/DD/YY instead of DD/MM/YY).
  • Assume that you open the Schedule page of a project in Project Web App (PWA). When you click the Print button on the Options tab to view the print preview information, the task bar is missing from the Gantt chart in the print preview window.
  • This hotfix improves managerial effectiveness in SharePoint 2013 by letting the administrators configure the SPSite.SecondaryContact property by using CSOM APIs.
  • You may be unable to create sub-folders while you are creating many sub-folders inside a folder in parallel.
  • Consider the following scenario:
    • You select the Create Major Versions check box in the Versioning Settings page for a document library.
    • You click Yes for the Require documents be checked out before they can be edited filed.
    • You upload a document item to the document library.
    • You wait for several minutes, then you check out the document and check it back in.
In this scenario, the last modified time for the last version in the Modified column is incorrect.

  • Consider the following scenario:
    • You create a folder in a SharePoint 2013 document library, and then you break the inheritance of permission for the folder.
    • You grant a user the contributor permissions of the folder.
In this scenario, when the user tries to save a document to the document library, he may be prompted for authentications for many times.

  • Consider the following scenario:
    • You add a tasks app to a SharePoint 2013 site collection.
    • You select Yes for the Launch forms in a dialog field in the Advanced Settings page.
    • You add many columns in the list.
    • You create a new item and you click the Show More button in the New Item page.
In this scenario, the scroll bar is not displayed so that you cannot edit some fields.
  • After you run a content deployment job on a SharePoint 2010 Server, additional thumbnails of the original thumbnails are generated.
