March 10, 2015, update for the 2007 Office system (KB2920794)

This article describes update KB2920794 for the 2007 Microsoft Office system that was released on March 10, 2015.

This update fixes the following issue:
Assume that you create an Office document that contains ActiveX controls. After you install December 9, 2014 security update for the 2007 Microsoft Office suite, when you try to insert an ActiveX control into the document, you may receive a "Cannot insert object" error message, and the ActiveX control is not inserted. Additionally, the existing ActiveX controls in the document are not enabled. For example, when you click a command button that is associated with a Click event, the Click event is not triggered.

Important For this fix to be fully effective, you also have to apply the other patches for the 2007 Office system that are listed in the "Resolution" section of the following Microsoft Knowledge Base article:
3025036 "Cannot insert object" error in an ActiveX custom Office solution after you install the MS14-082 security update
