Hotfix Package 2 for Microsoft Application Virtualization 4.6 SP3

Applies to: Microsoft Application Virtualization 4.6 for Terminal Services Service Pack 3Microsoft Application Virtualization 4.6 for Windows Desktops Service Pack 3

This article describes a hotfix package that contains the latest hotfixes for Microsoft Application Virtualization 4.6 Service Pack 3 for Windows Desktop clients and Remote Desktop Services clients.

Note We recommend that you test hotfixes before you deploy them in a production environment. Because the builds are cumulative, each new hotfix release contains all the hotfixes and all the security fixes that were included with the previous update package. We recommend that you consider applying the most recent fix release that contains the most necessary hotfixes.
This hotfix package fixes the following issues.
Issue 1: Application Virtualization (App-V) clients cause a system crash because of an APC mismatch.
Sometimes, the App-V client generates a system crash together with an asynchronous procedure call (APC) mismatch error. After you apply this hotfix, certain App-V-generated system crashes should be fixed.
Issue 2: Some virtual applications cannot start when the full path is not specified.
When a virtual application creates another virtual process, the virtual relative path is sometimes incorrectly used, and the application does not start. After you apply this hotfix, the correct path is used, and the application starts.
