Consider the following scenario:
- You have many client devices joined to a Workplace by using Device Registration Service (DRS) on a Windows Server 2012 R2-based server.
- You try to access a resource by using device authentication through Active Directory Federation Services (AD FS) on one of the client devices.
This issue occurs because a suboptimal Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) search filter is used to look up the registered device object during device authentication.
