This security update 2976627 resolves one publicly disclosed and 25 privately reported vulnerabilities in Internet Explorer. The most severe of these vulnerabilities could allow remote code execution if you view a specially crafted webpage by using Internet Explorer. For more information, see Microsoft Security Bulletin MS14-051.

Additionally, this security update includes several non-security fixes and improvements for Internet Explorer.

Known issues and more information

After you install this security update, the Internet Explorer window may be very slow to refresh and respond when you open consecutive modal windows. This issue affects Internet Explorer versions 6 through 11.
