Table borders are unaligned when cells are merged in a table in Internet Explorer 11

Symptoms


This issue occurs when you open a webpage that is displayed in the quirk or edge mode of Internet Explorer 11. Additionally, the table is merged by using border-collapse: collapse property of the web developer, and the height of the first cell in the table is set to 100 percent by using the DIV tag of the web developer.
