You may receive error pages repeatedly in Internet Explorer 7 and Internet Explorer 8

Symptoms


After you install update MS14-052 Cumulative security update for Internet Explorer for Internet Explorer 7 and Internet Explorer 8, Internet Explorer requests error pages repeatedly. The page itself is never displayed because the navigation is repeated before the page is displayed.

Resolution


Update information

To resolve this problem, install the most recent cumulative security update for Internet Explorer. To do this, go to Microsoft Update. Additionally, see the technical information about the most recent cumulative security update for Internet Explorer.

This issue occurs when Internet Explorer receives an error page that has different Content-Type fields in the page itself through Meta tag, and the delivered Content-Type field through HTTP header. For example, 
<META http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=EUC-JP"
