Error "One or more selected contacts cannot receive your calls" when you forward calls in Lync for Mac 2011


This issue occurs when the recipients' clients are enabled for enhanced presence privacy mode. 

When this issue occurs, you receive the following error message:
One or more selected contacts cannot receive your calls. Either the contact is outside your organization, is an automated service, or is not running your version of Lync
Additionally, the OK button is unavailable in the window for forwarding call.

Note This issue will not occur when you are in the recipients' contact list.


This issue occurs because Lync for Mac 2011 treats the recipients as offline when the enhanced presence privacy mode enabled recipients are not in your contact list. 


To resolve this issue, install the following update:
