Consider the following scenario:
- You use Microsoft SQL Server 2012 or SQL Server 2014 Master Data Services (MDS).
- You have an attribute that contains a value with a special character (such as the "+" symbol) in an entity.
- You define a business rule on this entity, and configure it to send an email notification when the validation fails.
This issue occurs because, when Silverlight retrieves the code value from QueryString collection, it calls UrlDecode. However, the value in the QueryString collection has already been decoded by MDS. Therefore, an unnecessary UrlDecode is performed.
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
