FIX: Update including Russian time zones updates is available for Windows Embedded CE 6.0

This article describes an update that includes the Russian time zones updates for Windows Embedded CE 6.0. Before you install the update, all previously issued updates for this product must be installed.

Symptoms

This update changes the time zone data to accommodate the daylight saving time (DST) changes in Russia in Windows Embedded CE 6.0. Russian time zones have DST in the year of 2014. However, they do not have DST in 2015. This update does not move one hour ahead when the clock is set to 11:58 P.M., December 31, 2014. Also, this update does not move one hour behind when the clock is set to 1:58 A.M., October 25, 2015.

The changes effect the following time zones:
  • (GMT+02:00) Kaliningrad (RTZ 1)
  • (GMT+03:00) Moscow, St. Petersburg, Volgograd (RTZ 2)
  • (GMT+05:00) Ekaterinburg (RTZ 4)
  • (GMT+06:00) Novosibirsk (RTZ 5)
  • (GMT+07:00) Krasnoyarsk (RTZ 6)
  • (GMT+08:00) Irkutsk (RTZ 7)
  • (GMT+09:00) Yakutsk (RTZ 8)
