When applications query the Win32_QuickFixEngineering Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) class, wmiprvse.exe process leaks memory. If too much memory is leaked because of this, WMI queries may start to fail, and applications that use WMI queries, such as Microsoft System Center Virtual Machine Manager, may not function correctly.
This issue occurs because the WMI provider of the Win32_QuickFixEngineering class does not release a piece of heap memory correctly.
