Symptoms

If you do not update Microsoft Azure Recovery Services Agent to version 2.0.8715.0 or a later version, you may encounter one of the following issues:

  • Backups that use the Azure Backup service may fail.

  • Replications to Azure by using the Azure Site Recovery service may fail.

Cause

This issue occurs because of Azure storage API changes.

Resolution

The issue is resolved in Microsoft Azure Recovery Services Agent version 2.0.8715.0 or a later version.

The version 2.0.8715.0 can be obtained from the Microsoft Download Center:
DownloadDownload the package now.

Note The Microsoft Azure Recovery Services Agent version 2.0.8715.0 contains the mandatory fixes to enable seamless communication with the storage APIs.
