- You have Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) installed on a server that is running Windows Server 2008 R2 Service Pack 1 (SP1).
- You have the DHCP server configured to use the Active Scope option. Also, the lease time is set to five minutes.
- You install update 2459530 on a Windows 7 SP1 DHCP client and connect it to the same subnet as the DHCP server.
- You force a time jump of more than five minutes in the future on the DHCP client.
- You wait several minutes until the current lease is considered to be expired.
In this scenario, you notice that network connectivity is lost for at least five minutes.
