Symptoms

Task sequence content downloads from a distribution point that is configured to accept HTTPS communication are not downloaded when the distribution point uses a nondefault port. Additionally, errors that resemble the following are logged in the Smsts.log file on the client:

Note Port 443 is shown in the log even though the distribution point is configured to use a different port.

Resolution

Hotfix information

Prerequisites

To apply this hotfix, you must have Cumulative Update 1 for System Center 2012 R2 Configuration Manager Service Pack 1 and System Center 2012 Configuration Manager Service Pack 2 installed.

Restart information

You do not have to restart the computer after you apply this hotfix.

Note We recommend that you close the Configuration Manager Administration Console before you apply this hotfix package.
