This article describes an issue that occurs when you copy large files to clustered shared volumes (CSV) storage on Windows Server 2012 R2-based scale-out file servers. A hotfix is available to fix this issue. Before you install this hotfix, see the Prerequisites section.
This issue occurs when the following conditions are true:
- Scale-out file servers have more than 64 gigabytes (GB) of physical memory installed.
- Scale-out file servers are set to use CSV storage.
- The CSV cache is enabled, and the cache size is set to 64 GB or larger.
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
