FIX: Registration is unsuccessful and a stack overflow error occurs when you register a COM .dll file by using regsvr32.exe in Windows Embedded Compact 2013

This article describes an issue that occurs when you register a COM .dll file in Windows Embedded Compact 2013. An update is available to resolve this issue. Before you install this update, all previously issued updates for this product must be installed.

You build an application that creates a COM server on a device that is running Windows Embedded Compact 2013. You register a COM .dll file such as SnmpRelay.dll by using regsvr32.exe. (This is located in the C:\WINCE800\public\dcom\sdk\samples folder.) When you run the following command from the CE shell, registration is unsuccessful, and a stack overflow error occurs:

Windows CE>s regsvr32 HP.Services.SnmpRelay.dll
