Hybrid Configuration Wizard fails on legacy email address types in Office 365 Dedicated/ITAR


When you run the Exchange Hybrid Configuration Wizard, the wizard may fail and generate an exception. This symptom occurs if the “CCMAIL:” or “MS:” legacy email address types are present in your email address policies.


This issue occurs when these legacy email address types correspond to CCMail and MSMail connectors that were removed from the product during the Exchange 2007 release cycle.


Before you run the Hybrid Configuration Wizard against the Exchange Online "Dedicated vNext" tenant, remove CCMAIL: and MS: from your email address policies on-premises. For more information about how to do this, see the following KB article:
