FIX: SharePoint PowerPivot Gallery workbook doesn't update automatically when you use the OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers

Consider the following scenario:
  • You create a connection string by using the Table Import Wizard, and the Use connection string option is selected.
  • The user name and password are provided in both the ODBC connection string and the OLE DB connection string.
  • You connect to a database by using the Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers in Microsoft SQL Server 2012 Service Pack 2 PowerPivot for Microsoft Excel 2010 add-in.
  • You upload the workbook to a SharePoint PowerPivot Gallery and then set the workbook to update automatically.

In this scenario, the workbook does not update automatically. Additionally, you receive the following error message:
Format of the initialization string does not conform to specification starting at index 59.
