Consider the following scenario:
- Your on-premises Skype for Business server account is enabled for the Busy on Busy or Voicemail on Busy feature.
- Callers report that calls to you went to voice mail or returned a busy signal even though your presence status showed Available.
This problem occurs when your previous call ended without a normal hang-up. An abnormal hang-up may occur if the Skype for Business application crashes, the computer crashes, or there's a network failure.
This is the expected behavior when Skype for Business cannot gracefully end a call. After a 12-minute timeout, the user’s in-call status in the Busy on Busy application is reset to Available.
