These versions of Windows have reached the end of their support period and no longer get security updates. To keep Windows as secure as possible, we recommend that you upgrade to Windows 10. If you choose not to upgrade to Windows 10, you must upgrade to Windows 8.1 or Windows 7 SP1 to continue receiving security updates.
For Windows 8, the current version is Windows 8.1. Support for Windows 8 ended in January, 2016.
