Assume that you install SQL Server Reporting Services in SharePoint mode, and then you create a data alert definition for a report that has a comma (,) in the report name, or the report is located in a folder and the folder name contains a comma (,). In this situation, you may receive an error message that resembles the following in a message box:

Note A similar issue might occur when you click the Manage Data Alert context menu of a report. In this scenario, you don't receive an error message, but the webpage remains in a loading state and never completes.
