Summary


This security update resolves multiple vulnerabilities in Microsoft Windows. The most severe of the vulnerabilities could allow remote code execution if an attacker creates a specially crafted request and executes arbitrary code with elevated permissions on a target system.

Prerequisites

Windows Server 2012 R2, Windows Server 2012, Windows Server 2008 R2, and Windows Server 2008

This security update is applicable only if either the Active Directory Lightweight Directory Services (AD LDS) or Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS) role is installed.

Windows 8.1

This security update is applicable only if AD LDS Windows optional feature is installed.

Windows 7

This security update is applicable only if Active Directory Lightweight Directory Services (AD LDS) for Windows 7 is installed.

Windows Vista

This security update is applicable only if Active Directory Lightweight Directory Services (AD LDS) for Windows Vista is installed.
