The performance of user logon process by disabling CEIP is expected to improve in Skype for Business 2015 (Lync 2013)

Applies to: Skype for Business 2015Microsoft Lync 2013

No matter whether the customer experience improvement program (CEIP) is enabled or not in Microsoft Skype for Business 2015 (Lync 2013), after the client signs out, the *.sqm files are still written to the \AppData\Local\Microsoft\Office\15.0\Lync\CEIP location. When a lot of users sign in, many unwanted files will be created.

To fix this issue, install the December 6, 2016, update (KB3127976) for Skype for Business 2015 (Lync 2013).

Note Lync 2013 was upgraded to Skype for Business in April 2015.
