FIX: SSRS 2016 mobile report that contains a shared dataset times out and does not load

You open a SQL Server 2016 Reporting Services mobile report that contains a shared dataset. If the report takes more than 100 seconds to finish rendering, you may receive an error message that resembles the following:

Could not load mobile report. The report may be misconfigured, the data may not be available, or the server version may be unsupported.

Additionally, an error that resembles the following is logged in the WebHost log file:

There was a problem getting data from the Report Server Web Service: The operation has timed out.


This fix is included in Cumulative Update 2 for SQL Server 2016 Service Pack 1.
