Check Point and Centrify applications stop working after the January 2017 Quality Update is installed

Symptoms

Users who installed the January 2017 Quality Update for Windows 10 Version 1607 may experience an issue in which certain disk encryption and identity management applications from Check Point and Centrify no longer work.

Temporary support from Microsoft to address this issue was introduced in the March 2017 Quality Update for Windows 10 Version 1607, and it will continue through June 2017.

This support is applicable only to Windows 10 Version 1607. For long-term support for Windows 10 Version 1607 and later versions, contact Check Point or Centrify about the availability of new, Windows-compatible versions of these applications.
