Symptoms

Assume that you use Change Data Capture (CDC) components in SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) for Microsoft SQL Server 2016, 2014, or 2012. After you install one of the cumulative updates that are described in KB 3030352, the SSIS CDC components may not function. For example, you may receive the following error message when you preview the CDC source task in an incremental package load in SSIS:

Invalid column name ‘__$command_id’. (Microsoft SQL Server, Error:207)
