Improvement: Adds Service Broker support for DBCC CLONEDATABASE in SQL Server

Applies to: SQL Server 2016 DeveloperSQL Server 2016 EnterpriseSQL Server 2016 Enterprise Core More

Improvement

You use Service Broker in Microsoft SQL Server 2016. When you run DBCC CLONEDATABASE command without specifying the WITH SERVICEBROKER option, you cannot get clone service broker related system catalogs to the destination database. SERVICEBROKER option cannot be used together with VERIFY_CLONEDB.

This update adds a WITH SERVICEBROKER option for DBCC CLONEDATABASE.

  • If you don't want to clone service broker related system catalogs to the destination database, you don't need to specify WITH SERVICEBROKER option.
  • If you want to clone service broker related system catalogs to the destination database, you can specify WITH SERVICEBROKER option.
