FIX: The schedule changes to "Report-specific schedule" when you enable "Create cache snapshots on a schedule" for the report in SSRS 2016

Applies to: SQL Server 2016 Service Pack 1SQL Server 2016 DeveloperSQL Server 2016 Enterprise

Consider the followingscenario:

  • You use cache snapshots for a report in Microsoft SQL Server 2016 Reporting Services (SSRS 2016).
  • You enable the "Createcache snapshots on a schedule" option for the report.
  • You create a new subscription in which the schedule option is set to "When the report data is updated (by thecache snapshot schedule)".

In this scenario, when youtry to modify the subscription later, you will find that the schedule was changed to "Report-specific schedule" instead of "When the report data isupdated (by the cache snapshot schedule)".

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
