Assume that you create a view on a table with columnstore index in an instance of Microsoft SQL Server 2016 and 2017. When you query data from the view by using Select query, an access violation occurs. Additionally, a minidump file is generated, and you may receive error messages that resemble the following:
DateTime spid * Exception Address = 00007FFEB4069DBC Module(sqlmin+00000000010B9DBC)
DateTime spid * Exception Code = c0000005 EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION
DateTime spid * Access Violation occurred reading address 0000000000000090
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
