FIX: Floating point exception error 3628 occurs when you query DMV sys.dm_db_xtp_hash_index_stats in SQL Server 2016

Symptoms


When you query the Dynamic Management View (DMV) sys.dm_db_xtp_hash_index_stats in Microsoft SQL Server 2016, you may receive an error message that resembles the following:

Error: 3628, Severity: 16, State: 1.
The Database Engine received a floating point exception from the operating system while processing a user request. Try the transaction again. If the problem persists, contact your system administrator.
