This article describes the update for daylight saving time (DST) changes for Chile in Windows Embedded Compact 7.

Before you install this update, all previously issued updates for this product must be installed.

Changes by location

Chile

Starting in 2019, the DST period for the Republic of Chile starts at midnight on the first Sunday in September and ends at midnight on the first Sunday in April. The current DST observation in Chile ends at midnight on Saturday, April 6, 2019.

On Easter Island, the DST start and end dates occur one day prior to main observation in Chile at 10 P.M. on both days.

Note The Magallanes region does not currently observe DST. Therefore, it is not affected by this change.

The Windows Embedded Compact 7 Monthly Update (March 2019) is now available from Microsoft. To download the update, go to the Device Partner Center (DPC).

Prerequisites

This update is supported only if all previously issued updates for this product have also been installed.

Restart requirement

After you apply this update, you must perform a clean build of the whole platform. To do this, use one of the following methods:

  • On the Build menu, click Clean Solution, and then click Build Solution.

  • On the Build menu, click Rebuild Solution.

You do not have to restart the computer after you apply this software update.

Update replacement

This update does not replace any other updates.
