Enroll and Subscribe to your Microsoft Partner Network membership in Partner Center: a step-by-step guide

If you are already in Partner Dashboard, there is no need to Enroll or Renew your Microsoft Partner Network membership. You need just to renew your membership level: MAPS/ Competencies.

How to Enroll an Organization in the Microsoft Partner Network in Partner Center


You can start your enrollment process by accessing this link .

The registration process is split into two main scenarios:

Scenario Process
1. You are performing the registration on behalf of the company but you are NOT a global admin on tenant
  • You will be awarded with account admin role, business profile admin, referrals admin, and MPN admin in Partner Center, but NOT the global admin role.
  • You will have access to the functionality of the Partner Center account awarded to you by the above roles.
2. You are performing the registration on behalf of company and you are a global admin on tenant
  • You will be awarded with account admin role, business profile admin, referrals admin, and MPN admin in Partner Center.
  • You will have access to the full functionality of the Partner Center account.

 

Scenario 1:


You are performing the registration on behalf of the company but you are NOT a global admin on tenant

1. Start by adding the work email address details in the Partner Dashboard and hit Next:

2. Partners must then add information about themselves:

A verification code is sent to the email address and partner can confirm his account.

3. Once this is completed, partner must add information about the company:

Then accept and continue with the agreement.

4. Then the enrollment process is completed and the partner will be redirected to the new partner dashboard.

If you then select Membership Offers you can see all offers available:

To purchase these offers, you must become a global admin:

The detailed process to become a global admin is explained in the new page that opens after you click on  Become a global admin box. Users who want to become global admins must follow it as described below:

If you wants to become a global admin but you don’t have access to the DNS records to complete the registration, then you must obtain these from the owner who has access to the company’s website DNS records, otherwise the process will not be completed.

After you hit the button saying Okay, I’ve added the record, then you will be signed into Partner Center Dashboard as global admin:

This upgrade of the account will allow you to manage your account and access all Partner Center’s features together with all functionalities.

To verify if the upgrade to global admin has worked as expected, in the user’s account details, you will be shown as global admin.

Scenario 2:


You are performing the registration on behalf of company and you are a global admin on tenant

1. Start by adding the work email address details in the Partner Dashboard and hit Next:

3. Once this is completed, partner must add information about the company:

Then accept and continue with the agreement.

4. Then the enrollment process is completed and the partner will be redirected to the new partner dashboard.

If you then select Membership Offers you can see all offers available:

How to subscribe to one of the Membership offers that are available in PC after completing one of the above enrollment scenarios?


You would have to select the Membership Offers option and to click on the Subscribe option from the offer that are available to you.

In the next screen you will have to:

  • Add TAX info
  • Insert Contact name and Email for Contact details
  • Review the Bill to / Sold to information – you can update the address details during this step by clicking the Update hyperlink in the section
  • Select your payment preference between:
    • Credit card
    • Electronic bank transfer

If in your country, Tax info is not applicable, you will not see the VAT ID option and you  can only proceed to update the Contact details and “Bill To” / “Sold To” address fields as shown in following screenshot

If Credit card preference is selected

You can finalize the purchase in the next screen by entering the Credit card address and following details:

  • Enter his ZIP/Postal Code
  • Choose the card type (all major credit cards are accepted)
  • Enter Card Number
  • Enter Card Expiration Date
  • Enter CVN Number

Once you click on Pay button, a “Thank you” screen will appear and benefits from the purchased offer should be available to you immediately.

If Electronic Bank Transfer preference is selected

You can finalize the purchase in the next screen after reviewing the details of your purchase by clicking the Submit button.

Please include your Order number and MPN ID in your transfer advice. Also, please make sure to transfer the needed amount in the bank account mentioned in this screen.

You want to switch from offline payment to online payment method

You will need to cancel the order and repurchase using the preferred payment method.

Steps to cancel an order:

1. Click on Membership Offers tab in the Dashboard.

2. Once there, click on Cancel order

3. A confirmation window will appear, and you must confirm to cancel the initial order.
