FIX: Access violation occurs when worker stealing is enabled and CPU capacity reaches maximal configured value in SQL Server 2019

Symptoms


When the worker stealing is enabled and CPU capacity in the Resource governor reaches maximal configured value in SQL Server 2019, an access violation error may occur.

Status


Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.

This issue is fixed in the following cumulative update for SQL Server:
