Controls move to the left of the worksheet in Microsoft Excel 2002

When you insert a control over a cell in Microsoft Excel 2002, and then use Print Preview, the control is repositioned when you return to worksheet view. To insert a control over a cell, follow these steps:
  1. Start Excel 2002.
  2. On the View menu, point to
Toolbars, and then click Control Toolbox.
  3. On the Control Toolbox, click the
    Command Button icon.
  4. Move the command button to cell H8.
  5. On the File menu, click
  6. Click Print .
When you return to worksheet view, the command button has moved to the left, near cell B8.

This problem occurs after you install Microsoft Office 2002 Service Pack 3 (SP3). This problem does not occur in Office 2002 versions that are earlier than SP3.

To work around this problem, configure the positioning properties of the command button to the Move and size with cells option. To do this, follow these steps:
  1. Right-click the command button, and then click
    Format Control.
  2. On the Properties tab, click Move and size with cells.
  3. Click OK.
By default, this option is set to the Move but don't size with cells option.

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
