The just-in-time (JIT) debugging options are disabled in Visual Studio 2005 when you disable the JIT debugging options in Visual Studio .NET 2003

Symptoms

When you disable the just-in-time (JIT) debugging options in Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2003, the JIT debugging options are also disabled in Microsoft Visual Studio 2005. Additionally, you may receive the following error message:
Another debugger has registered itself as the jit debugger. To repair, enable JIT or run repair.
Note This issue occurs when you have both Visual Studio .NET 2003 and Visual Studio 2005 installed on the same computer.

Cause

This issue occurs because both Visual Studio .NET 2003 and Visual Studio 2005 use the same JIT debugging system.
