Issues that this hotfix package fixes

This hotfix fixes the following issues that are not previously documented in a Microsoft Knowledge Base article:
  • In Office Outlook 2003, you change the Information Rights Management (IRM) setting of an e-mail message, and then you save it as a new message. After you repeat this process several times, the body of the new e-mail message will be corrupted.
    BUG #: 20032 (Office QFE)
  • Consider the following scenario:
    • You create a mailbox by using the Windows Server 2003 POP service on a Post Office Protocol (POP) server.
    • On a Windows Vista-based client computer, you configure Outlook 2003 to log on to the mailbox.
    • In Outlook 2003, you receive an e-mail message that has only "undisclosed-recipients:;" in the To line.
In this scenario, when you open the e-mail message, you see that the full header of the e-mail message is copied into the body of the e-mail message. The message body may be corrupted if the charset of the message is not US-ASCII.BUG #: 21044 (Office QFE)
  • On a client computer that has Office 2003 with Service Pack 2 installed, you install Office 2003 Service Pack 3 or security update 949031 (security bulletin MS08-015). After that, when you open a received e-mail message that contains a Web page that uses cascading style sheets styles, the Web page formatting will be lost.
    BUG #: 21587 (Office QFE)
  • Consider the following scenario:
    • On a client computer that has Office 2003 with Service Pack 2 installed or that has Office 2003 with Service Pack 3 installed, you install security update 949031.
    • When Outlook 2003 is running, you disconnect the network connection.
In this scenario, when you reconnect the client computer to the network, the Free/Busy information cannot be viewed by another user when that user tries to make an appointment with you in Outlook.BUG #: 21645 (Office QFE)
