- You are using Microsoft Commerce Server 2007 Service Pack 2 (SP2).
- You perform a base catalog incremental import operation by using the catalog XML file.
- The catalog XML file does not include the product rank attribute.
For example, you have the following product catalog in the catalog system:

You must have Commerce Server 2007 SP2 installed to apply this hotfix.
You do not have to restart the computer after you apply this hotfix. However, you must shut down the Commerce Server Catalog Import Host COM+ application after you apply this hotfix.
