Description of the Outlook 2003 hotfix package (Outlook.msp): February 24, 2009


This article describes the Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 issues that are fixed in the hotfix package that is dated February 24, 2009.


Issues that this hotfix package fixes

  • The BeforeItemPaste event in the Outlook 2003 object model does not work when the Search box is used to filter or restrict items in a folder that is not enabled for instant search.

  • On a CITRIX terminal server, Office Communicator crashes occasionally in Emsmdb32.dll.

  • On a Japanese version of an operating system, you open a form that contains a Duration field in Outlook 2003. When you type m in the Duration field, "m" is unexpectedly recognized as "hour" instead of "minute." BUG #: 23222 (OfficeQFE)
  • In Outlook 2003, you receive an e-mail message that contains a signature that is a HTML image file and some attachments. When you select the e-mail message from the message list and then try to save all the attachments, the attachment picker window does not appear as expected. Instead, when you try to save all the attachments, the Save As dialog box appears unexpectedly. In the Save As dialog box, you are only able to save the HTML image file.

    Note If you open the e-mail message, you do not experience this problem.
