Issues that this hotfix package fixes

  • When you are running any 2007 Microsoft Office Service Pack 1 (SP1) applications on a Windows XP-based computer, if you use a file dialog box, GDI objects may leak.BUG #: 23577 (OfficeQFE)
  • When you save a Microsoft Office Word document that contains a ChemDraw drawing in the PDF format, the ChemDraw drawing is not displayed in the PDF file as expected.BUG #: 23683 (OfficeQFE)
  • In Word 2007, you add a custom Ribbon tab that is developed by using Visual Studio Tools for the Microsoft Office System (VSTO). Then, you create a new document from the Word 2007 template, and you immediately save the document without using the custom Ribbon tab. After that, the controls in the custom Ribbon tab do not work.BUG #: 24129 (OfficeQFE)
  • In Word 2007 or in Excel 2007, when you try to open an Office Open XML Format (OOXML) file that is ZIP64 compressed, you are prompted to repair the file even if the file is not corrupted.

    In this case, if you repair the file, the file will open successfully. However, the digital signature in the file will break.BUG #: 24423 (OfficeQFE)
  • 967732 The "Invalid signature" indication appears when you try to open a Word document or an Excel workbook

  • On a Windows Vista-based computer, you paste a Microsoft Office Excel chart that is stored in a HTTP location into a PowerPoint 2007 presentation by using the default paste operation. Then, when you try to Refresh Data for the chart in the presentation, you receive the following error message:
    The linked file is not available. Use the Edit Links command to find the file.
