- In Microsoft BizTalk Server, you enable the compression feature for Applicability Statement 2 (AS2) messages.
Note To enable the compression feature, check the Compress Message option on the Party as AS2 Message Receiver page of the AS2 Properties dialog box.
- You receive an AS2 message from your trade partner through the AS2EdiReceive pipeline.
In this scenario, a Message Disposition Notification (MDN) is sent from you to your trade partner. However, your trade partner does not receive the MDN. Instead, the trade partner receives an error message that resembles the following:
Note The MDN is an acknowledgement message that is sent in response to an AS2 message. If the compression feature is enabled, the AS2 transmission cannot complete until the MDN is received and is verified.
