Content provided by Microsoft Applies to: Financials General Ledger Select Product Version All Products SYMPTOMSOne of the following errors occurs when you integrate a General Journal Transaction intercompany integration with Integration Manager for Microsoft Dynamics GP:Field 'Exchange Rate.Exchange Rate' does not have a default value."A valid exchange rate could not be found for currency 'XXX'CAUSEThe error occurred because the originating company and the destination company have different functional currencies.Note The error only occurs for the intercompany distribution line.The integration has the following fields mapped:• The Currency ID for the functional currency of the originating company in the General Journal destination mapping folder• The Exchange Rate field in the Entries destination mapping folder RESOLUTIONMicrosoft Dynamics GP business logic functions in the following method:• A GL transaction created in the functional currency. •The Exchange Rate field is not available to select. • When you expand the line for the distribution, the Exchange Rate field is also not available to select and change. • Because of this, the exchange rate for the destination company must default in on the Integration.• The Exchange Rate field should not be mapped for the destination company distribution when you have a transaction as described here.
