Description of the 2007 Office system hotfix package (Mso-x-none.msp): October 27, 2009

This article describes the 2007 Microsoft Office system issues that are fixed in the hotfix package that is dated October 27, 2009.

Issues that this hotfix package fixes

  • On the Restrict Permission menu in Microsoft Office Excel 2007, you select a template for a workbook. The template contains a group that has full rights. Then, you save the workbook. However, when you use the Permission.DocumentAuthor property to return the author of the workbook, the group name is returned instead.

  • You apply the update that is described in Microsoft Knowledge Base (KB) article 970950. However, when you try to paste multiple images into a 2007 Office system document, you notice that the same image is pasted repeatedly.

  • 2007 Office system rejects XML Advanced Electronic Signatures (XAdES) signatures that contain an XAdES reference in the SignedInfo section of the signature.

  • Office 2007 does not load VSTO add-ins unless CLR 2.0 is on the machine. This is problematic for solutions that target CLR 4.0 or greater because they install but do not run on machines without CLR 2.0. When the add-in tries to load, end users are presented with a misleading error message or no error message at all. This behavior makes it difficult for end users to troubleshoot the issue.
  • 976811 A 2007 Office system application does not load an add-in that is developed by using VSTO
